The school was originally built in 1941 at a cost of $26,000, replacing a smaller previous school on Mill Rd. An extension in 1957 gave it 4 more classrooms and a gymnasium. Upon the opening of the new school on Riverside Dr. in 2014 it was vacated and currently sits empty.
